Wow what a week it has been for the island of Sal! Tuesday night we celebrated the official inauguration of the pedestrianised road in Santa Maria, by the Prime Minister of Cape Verde and the Mayor or Sal. It was celebrated in true Cape Verdean style with a festival atmosphere, singing, dancing and lots of laughter. It was so lovely to see so many tourists joining us for the celebrations, the performance by Dennis Graça and his band was absolutely brilliant. The opening has been long awaited and has been perfectly timed for the start of high season in Cape Verde, lets make this season one to remember.
