Cape Verde provides an ideal sailing base for a yacht cruise around the island of Sal. Situated off the West Coast of Africa in the middle fo the North East trade wind belt, on about the same latitude as St Lucia in the Caribbean. It is the perfect place to sail with the constant strong breeze throughout the year and constant sunny weather, sailing is almost guaranteed 365 days a year, the only time we would not sail is if the trade winds’ reach 22 knots. During the month of July to September you maybe lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a loggerhead turtle or between March and April you may get to see a pilot whale. Dolphins are often spotted all year round frolicking around the boats, along with the awesome flying fish.
