Bottom Fishing or drifting is the traditional method of fishing in Cape Verde and used mainly by local fisherman. You will be taken out on an authentic wooden fisherman’s boat from Santa Maria pier, around the coastline of Sal. A large variety of fish are in the waters around the island, such as trigger, garoupa, wrasse, soldier, parrot, bream, puffer and various others.
